Sync and backup

Use this routine to avoid losing edits and keep reliable backups.

How sync works

• Drive is the main source of truth when connected.
• Unsynced edits stay in your current browser tab until you sync.
• If you close the tab before syncing, those unsynced edits may be lost.

What Sync does

• Uploads new or changed notes and projects.
• Imports remote notes and projects that are missing locally.
• Shows a choice when a newer remote version is detected.

Backup with export

• Export creates a zip snapshot of notes and projects.
• Store exported zips in a second location for safety.
• Use import to merge a snapshot into your current session.

Safe routine

1. Save your active note.
2. Press Sync.
3. Export a zip snapshot.
4. Store the zip elsewhere.
