Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Scriptorium, you agree to these Terms of Service.

2. Description of service

Scriptorium provides a markdown-based writing and note workflow with optional Google Drive sync via Google OAuth and Google APIs.

3. Eligibility and account use

• You must be legally able to use this service in your jurisdiction.
• You are responsible for your Google account and the activity performed while signed in.

4. Your content

• You retain ownership of content you create in Scriptorium.
• You are responsible for the legality and appropriateness of your content.
• You grant only the limited permissions needed for Scriptorium to process your content for app functionality.

5. Google Drive integration

• Scriptorium uses the https://www.googleapis.com/auth/drive.file scope to manage app-related files in your Google Drive.
• You can revoke access through your Google account permissions at any time.
• Revoking access may disable sync features until access is granted again.

6. Prohibited use

You agree not to misuse the service, including by attempting unauthorized access, interfering with service operation, or violating applicable laws.

7. Availability and changes

Scriptorium may change, suspend, or discontinue features at any time, including as part of alpha or pre-release development.

8. No warranty

Scriptorium is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scriptorium and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including data loss, service interruptions, or business interruption.

10. Termination

You may stop using Scriptorium at any time. We may suspend or terminate access in cases of abuse, legal requirements, or operational reasons.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws applicable to the operator of Scriptorium, without regard to conflict of law principles.
